The penultimate post of our trip a couple of weeks ago to see other Christmas attractions at historic houses.
Waddesdon Manor, the National Trust / Rothschild Foundation property near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire really go for Christmas in a big way. Apparently 30% of the annual visitors come to Waddesdon in the 8 week run up to Christmas specifically to see the Christmas decorations. Please note – booking is necessary! And after dark the Manor looks amazing too – apparently next year the outside of the Manor will be specially lit too
Waddesdon Manor is normally home to the Rothschild ‘collection’ which is not viewable during the Christmas extravaganza – however you can currently also see the Bruce Munro light show which I have written about before – see here.
