I’ve been on Scilly for over a week but have had no internet connection so I couldn’t blog. Will do series of posts retrospectively.
First one is of the rare American vagrant wader – the Semipalmated Sandpiper. A series of photographs taken on St Mary’s at Lower Moors. It is a tiny bird – about the size of a wagtail.
What a star performer! That is so like a Little Stint, but about 2 inches bigger and your piccies clearly show the thicker bill and white over the eye – lovely photos, Adrian
