Over the weekend the Scilly Swim Challenge has taken place – in essence this event involved 150 entrants and involved swimming to various islands on the Isles of Scilly, walking across the island before commencing swimming again.

Here is the route that the entrants followed – starting on St Mary’s and then walking to Bar Point before swimming across to St Martins, then, Tresco to Bryher to Samson, to Agnes and back to St Marys. It didn’t all go to plan as the weather cut up on Saturday evening and the swim back to St Mary’s from St Agnes was postponed to Sunday morning.
Caroline was one of the entrants – here is a photo of the start of the swim at Bar Point – if you get your eye in you can see 3 waves of swimmers / kayakers.
