A Bonaparte’s Gull

Went to see a Bonaparte’s gull at Teignmouth on Sunday afternoon after the first deluge of rain had gone through. A new species for me.

It is an American species which has got way laid – there have been a few around this year on the Exe and more recently in Kent.

Slightly smaller than a black-headed gull
