The art of photojournalism is being in the right place at the right time.

I managed to be in the right place but 18 hours late …. Nevertheless the damage to the London railway line is apparent.

Yesterday evening the water was poring from the Cowley Bridge pub side of the lines across into the River Exe

The Exe is still pretty wild but nothing like as high as yesterday. You can see the river levels on the Exe at Exwick from this Environment Agency monitoring station

Buckled linesYou can see the buckled railway lines in this picture  – hard to believe the force of nature.
