Holne Wood on the River Dart

The sun was threatening to come out this afternoon so I went to the River Dart at New Bridge to walk in Holne Wood with my friend Jon to take a few photographs. This is a great walk and a dead easy one! You just park in the little car park just short of New Bridge on the Ashburton side of the river and enter over the little wooden bridge into the National Trust woodlands. It is a linear walk so you just walk on the path along the river edge as far as you want and then turn around and head back.

Here are a few of our photographs – unfortunately the promised sun never really arrived but at least it was dry and mild. Perhaps I ought to say that Jon is a professional photographer …. My shots have taken an hour or so fiddling about in Photoshop (particularly as a result of dust on the camera sensor …..). Jon’s are straight out of the camera! My pics are first up.

Here are Jon’s pictures (Jon can be contacted at http://www.fullfatphotography.com)
